The Dyersville Jurassics had very little trouble at the ballpark downing the
Dominican Republicans. The score was 7 to 1.
Dominican was unable to claim the lead after Dyersville went ahead in the top
of the 7th inning scoring 3 runs on 3 hits. After an out was recorded,
Terrmel Sledge began the Dyersville spurt when he doubled. Justin Morneau
was next and he lined a single which scored a run. Jeromy Burnitz then drew
a walk. Dustin Hermanson then let loose a wild pitch. Victor Martinez
stepped into the box and lined a one-base hit which was good for two more
runs. Dyersville finished with 9 hits in the victory.
The win went to Jeff Suppan(13-7) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Jorge Sosa
recorded the save, his 1st. Kyle Lohse(3-12) absorbed the loss.
